In this lesson, I have learnt several things about translation and its process. First of all, I like the presentation part. In the classroom, we talked about different topic of presentation. Although some articles and presentation covers the same topic, I like them because they use different techniques.
During this course, we had some guests in our classroom and I enjoyed. For example, I had no idea about simultaneous translation. After this course, everything about simultaneous translation is clear for me. I have learnt that people should use both left and right brain to reach the peak.
In my opinion, English- Turkish translation is easy rather than Turkish- English translation. Turkish is my native language so that I can use the suitable slang, idiom, or proverb. On the other hand, I do not know every slang and proverb in English.
Finally, students in this department should be aware of the difficulties of translations.
